Blog Tour: Fairytale Beginnings | Holly Martin

I am so excited to be a part of this blog tour, you have no idea. I have been sitting on my review of this book for a long time and am so glad I can finally share it with you. Holly Martin is a talented author and also a wonderful person who makes time to support and be a cheerleader for others. I am so happy to introduce her fabulous new book 'Fairytale Beginnings'.

Love is an open door… except when it keeps slamming in your face
Hopeless romantic Milly Rose has had her fair share of heartbreak. Obsessed with all things Disney, she refuses to give up on finding her Prince Charming – he’s out there somewhere, isn’t he? When Milly is given a job to investigate the origins of a historical building in the village of Clover's Rest, she’s not sure what to expect. What she discovers takes her breath away - a beautiful real life Cinderella castle, complete with turrets, a magnificent drawbridge AND a very handsome owner…Cameron Heartstone.

As Milly and Cameron begin to unearth the secrets of Clover Castle, they can’t ignore the intense chemistry building between them. But they’ve both been hurt badly before. Can they take a big leap of faith and find their own happily-ever-after?

My Review

This book is bloomin' marvellous.

It really is that simple.

If I am smiling, laughing and engrossed from page one then you know that we are on to a winner. If you have read this book already then you will be aware of the hilarious situation that Milly finds herself in with her car. It is the name of the car that had mu chuckling, you will just have to trust me on that one.

This is a wonderful story of romance cleverly linked in with mystery and a hint of paranormal goings on. This is by no means a simple boy meets girl story, there are more obstacles than you can shake a stick at and it makes for an entertaining and intense read. While this kind of book does offer up lighthearted entertainment, it also keeps you gripped from beginning to end. I was so engrossed in certain parts of this book that I swear I almost broke my Kindle from gripping it so hard. Thank god for the back light because this is one of the few books that has managed to keep me up all night reading. In fact I pretty much finished it in 2 days due it it being so addictive.

Milly is our lovable leading lady and she is a wonderful main character. She is a fabulous character who's personality and love for all things Disney make her a truly delightful whimsical girl. She loves losing herself in the history of Clover castle and it's tales of romance, curses, treasure and even a very entertaining ghost. But most of all Milly wants to lose herself in Cameron Heartsone's pants, it would seem he has some treasure of his own that she would like to unearth. Despite seeming like a grump to start of with, he is a very handsome and it is very easy to fall for him when he is so well written.

Their relationship is very entertaining, from crossed words to misunderstandings and eventual romantic gestures. We are taken on one bumpy journey to an eventual happy ending. There was a point in the story involving a cavern, waterfall, stream etc that there is an accident and I genuinely thought that we would lose Cameron, or that he would lose his memory and forget all about Milly. I have never felt my heart pound so hard when reading a book, the suspense in certain parts was almost unbearable. In a good way of course.

I also love a character that you love to hate, and in this book it comes in the form of Cameron's assistant. I can't say anymore about her without the fury leaking through the keyboard and onto the screen. Trust me when I say that you may want to brace yourself for the woman is tries to take it all from Milly.

There are some wonderfully charming parts in this story and I do not want to spoil the ending for you but I swear I welled up at the end, and my heart must have grown three sizes because what you are given is a wonderfully romantic ending that could be put in a Disney movie, yet it has so much real life feelings to it that it is so easy to allow yourself to fall into this world.

I gave this book a swooningly romantic 10/10
