I'm Back

Hello folks, how have you all been?

Well I am thrilled to say that I am officially back in the world of blogging. I’ve been gone for a little over a month, which is a little longer than I had anticipated due to issues with internet providers. Boo Hiss. So what have I been up to in the past month? Well to be honest, bloomin’ loads. I have had the busiest and yet most productive time ever. If you fancy finding out what I’ve been up to then please read on.

First things first, I really want to talk about my health. Many of you already know how I’ve been having one hell of a battle with my depression and anxiety over the past 12 months or so. What some of you also know is that in the past couple of months I have been showing significant improvement. I am thrilled to say that as of about 2 weeks ago I was officially signed off from my counselling sessions (which helped so much) and my DR has also agreed to start slowly taking me off my medication. So for anyone who knows what this is like then you can understand why am absolutely thrilled. This has been a difficult journey, but one I realise had to happen in order for me to become the person I am today. I hope that for others who are suffering, you should know there is hope and things can work out for the best.
One of the things that I think really helped with my health was the fact that me and my husband (and cats) have FINALLY moved. We really didn’t think it would happen this year, due to financial issues but the flat we were in was horrendous. So I decided to sell some of my things so that we could get the money to move, and the flat we now have is closer to Liverpool and it is bigger with a spare room which I have turned into my office. I’m still trying to get used to the area, finding where things are etc but I will get there in the end. I don’t exactly have the best sense of direction.

I also have a new job in Liverpool City Center. While I was extremely sad to leave my colleagues in Outfit Southport, my new job is wonderful. I now work at the Build A Bear workshop, and I am having so much fun. I get to build teddy bears for a living. Whoop Whoop. So if you’re in the area, then feel free to pop in and say hi. And maybe build a bear or 3.

However, I have not allowed myself to neglect my writing and am currently participating in NaNoWriMo. I have been extra productive and my WIP is well on its way to actually looking like a book. I don’t want to say too much other than I am hoping to finish the first draft by the end of the year, so that in 2016 I can get to editing etc and then hopefully submitting. Fingers crossed.
I was also lucky enough to meet up with my lovely author friend Samantha Tonge in Manchester a couple of weeks ago. We had such a lovely afternoon eating, nattering and harassing the staff in The Works book shop. Sam is such a lovely lady.
I also made my first sale on my Society 6 page, if you check out the pics below you can see which if my bags the lovely Darcie Boleyn purchased. Also check out my Society 6 page HERE. I will be creating some more artwork soon and you will see them pop up on my page in the next few weeks.
That’s it for now folks.

For now, take it easy and have a great week.
