Imagine if you went your entire life not knowing who you really were or ever being able to enjoy the simple pleasure of human touch. This is the life that Lily McCain has had. She considers herself cursed with the ability to see the future of those she touches, and it is a heavy burden that she has to carry. Her whole life comes into question with the appearance of a sexy and mysterious stranger who if he is to believed, holds the key to Lily’s true identity. Also the majority of the novel is set in my home city of Liverpool, so I had a wonderful sense of location which added to my enjoyment if the book.

This book by Debbie Johnson is the first of her Paranormal Romance novels that I have read and I LOVED it. Debbie is better known for her hilarious romance novels which I love, but reading this has made feel the need to pester her to write more Paranormal Romance.  Fingers crossed one day she will (HINT HINT Debbie!).
Lily McCain is a great character, she’s a tough but caring scouse girl and I love her despite her issues with relationship and human touch. She is a girl who doesn’t take anything from anyone and can really hold her own against even the most controlling and stubborn of men. Gabriel! Who is hot and infuriating at the same time. Although I must add I have a soft spot for Lucien, but you will understand that when you read this book.

We have a wonderful cast of characters who all have their part to play in how this epic story unfolds. Pay attention to Carmel as well, who is Lily’s best friend, she is a fab character who has some amazingly funny things to say along the way.
I already have the second book in this series and am looking forward to starting it when I slim town my TBR pile a little.

The only thing I would say is that the cover of book one isn’t exactly great, I feel that the publishers could have done much better with this but it does not reflect at all on the book itself which is fab. So please don’t let the cover put you off. The cover for book two however is FABULOUS!!!

I gave this epic paranormal romance a sexy and magical 10/10
